What is
Yoga Therapy
Prerequisites
Most people are introduced to yoga through physical practice. While any yoga class can support well-being, yoga therapy applies specific tools: postures, breath work, meditation, and more, in a tailored way. These tools can address physical, mental, emotional, and, if desired, spiritual health. Yoga therapy is adaptable for anyone, from those with limited mobility to elite athletes.Yoga therapy model of health is unique. It considers all aspects of life rather than individual body parts or systems separately. This approach allows clients take an active role in their healing, helping them move at their own pace creating steady progress and lasting change. This holistic approach not only supports your journey back to health but it continues to grow with you to maintain and even delve further into unlocking gifts you didn't realize you had
Curiosity and a willingness to try. That’s all you need to begin yoga therapy. No prior yoga experience or flexibility is required. If you’re motivated to spend a small amount of time each day on your personal growth, you’re a good fit. I’ll be here to listen, encourage, and share tools so you can start feeling better soon.
This work does take commitment. We’ll begin with a two-hour intake consultation, followed by two weekly sessions and two biweekly sessions. This structure helps you build momentum. After that, we’ll meet once a month.
